Scranton Scrapper?

I was not surprised that Obama chose Biden as his veep; I'm sure Obama had lots of advice from the grey-haired brigade and their corporate masters.

The awful truth is that neither party is interested in what 'we the people' want and need; 'Impeachment is off the table.'

The litany of crimes committed by this cur administration and their enablers in the Congress are so numerous and known through out the world as to be obscene.

PM Grendel Cheney and his boy have brought this nation and much of the world to the very brink of nuclear annihilation; this is not hyperbole, it's a fact.

Joe 'the shark' Biden is no progressive; lest we forget his support of the draconian bankruptcy bill. A bill, like our energy policies, written by those who most benefited from it. The banks, the credit card merchants have made it impossible for perfectly decent people to get a new start; most bankruptcies are due to catastrophic illness. Many of us are only a paycheck or two from the streets; but, we cannot have single payer health-care for all. Why not?

The reasons for gutting the Constitution comes down to one thing; the ruination of the middle-class! The middle-class, the backbone of our way of life for so long; and was powerful enough to end the Vietnam War.

When Nixon changed the rules of the draft, the specter of the sons of the middle-class coming home in boxes, did more to end that slaughter than all the marches, petitions, letters and phone calls made by thoughtful and good people. And, boy did the right-wing learn their lesson; so, covertly and patiently they infiltrated every niche of society; 'til they ran the whole show, with the help of a deliberately obtuse population and Dems like Joe Biden.

Biden is exactly were he's supposed to be; another crusty old white man to 'guide' the young Pres. Obama. The Corporatism, at this point, is too much for one man to buck; the only chance he, and real Dems, have is the knowledge that the people will watch his back. Ha!

Decades ago Pres. Jimmy Carter turned to the people, I remember, and asked for our support in making the changes to save energy and make the commitment to invest in what we now call 'green' technology. He was thrown out of office; and, so began the further rise of the greed is good crowd. It's just too damn bad that millions of people consistantly vote against their own best interest; it is a mystery to me!
